This North Beach Surf Report is brought to you through the efforts of Outer Banks Internet and the Corolla Surf Shop. The report is usually completed in the morning so please take into consideration that weather conditions on the Outer Banks of North Carolina can change in a short period of time. Wave height is measured differently in different parts of the world. In this report we measure wave height assuming that a surfer is standing on the board. Example: If the report is calling wave height to be Chest High that would mean that the front of the wave (not the back) is about 4 feet high in the face. This report covers the surf from the Currituck County line south of Corolla all the way to the Virginia/North Carolina border.
